Easter Sunday - April 12, 2009
The annual Easter breakfast and the Sunday Morning service were very well attended this year and a good
time was had by all. Festivities began at 9:30 a.m. with delicious breakfast casseroles prepared by several
women of the church. The fellowship committe planned the event which was followed by planned activities
for all the children immediately following the breakfast.  The sanctury was beautifully decorated with many
and varied spring flowers which were purchased as memorials and honorariums by several members of the congregation.

At the Annual Ladies Valentine Tea, surrounded by red decorations and apparel, Sisters in Faith served a
delicious assortment of holiday hot tea, trays of fresh fruit, vegetables and dip, cheese, crackers, cookies
and
candies.  Attendees were surprised by a visit from "Elvis," who serenaded us while we ate. Following refreshments, Mary Behrle, entertained us with true stories about the perils of getting older, and the
challenges of living with an older sweetheart. This was an evening filled with laughter and surprises. As a
finale, Joe Heward and Bob Behrle entered singing "The Old Gray Mare She Ain't What She Used to Be." They also contributed a few tidbits and then sang "Let Me Call You Sweetheart."

Sunday School "Tally" Day, January 18, 2009
On Sunday, January 18, the children of our church presented their attendance tally from the past year.
Throughout 2008, each boy or girl who came to Sunday School or Children’s Church decorated a small
box to show they were present. From these, they constructed a marvelous church. The total number of
boxes included was 298.
