Easter Sunday - April 12, 2009
The annual Easter breakfast and the Sunday Morning service were very well attended this year and a good
time was had by all. Festivities began at 9:30 a.m. with delicious breakfast casseroles prepared by several
women of the church. The fellowship committe planned the event which was followed by planned activities
for all the children immediately following the breakfast. The sanctury was beautifully decorated with many
and varied spring flowers which were purchased as memorials and honorariums by several members of the congregation.
Palm Sunday - April 5, 2009
Pastor Sherri led the children into service with a traditional Palm Sunday processional of waving Palm
Branches. This meaningful service included the baptism of Abigail Henrich, daughter of Dan and Lisa
Henrich. A unique addition was the baptismal water used was actually saved from the rain that fell on
Abby's parents' wedding day. Abby applauded and giggled throughout the ceremony, which was enjoyed
by her attending family members, as well as the congregation.

Hawaiian Luau - March 8, 2009
Here are some of the photos taken at the Hawaiian Luau held on Sunday, March 8, immediately after
morning services. They are so colorful and show what fun everyone was having. Thanks very much to
our Fellowship Committee for planning and organizing this nice event!
Annual Valentine Tea - February 11, 2009
At the Annual Ladies Valentine Tea, surrounded by red decorations and apparel, Sisters in Faith served a
delicious assortment of holiday hot tea, trays of fresh fruit, vegetables and dip, cheese, crackers, cookies
and candies. Attendees were surprised by a visit from "Elvis," who serenaded us while we ate. Following refreshments, Mary Behrle, entertained us with true stories about the perils of getting older, and the
challenges of living with an older sweetheart. This was an evening filled with laughter and surprises. As a
finale, Joe Heward and Bob Behrle entered singing "The Old Gray Mare She Ain't What She Used to Be." They also contributed a few tidbits and then sang "Let Me Call You Sweetheart."
