Church Council ~ Jim Flick, Chairperson (2008)
The Church Council envisions, plans, implements, and evaluates the overall mission and ministry of the congregation. This is the primary decision-making body of our church and its members are our central leaders. Council meetings are held bi-monthly, usually on the last Wednesday of the month. All members and constituents are welcome to attend.

Staff-Parish Relations Committee ~ Rick Cooper, Chairperson (2010)
The SPRC works to strengthen the relationship between the congregation and our paid staff. Committee members conduct annual evaluations and make salary recommendations for all employees. Working closely with our District Superintendent, this committee offers consultation in the appointment process so that the congregation’s needs are clearly identified and appropriate pastoral leadership is secured.

Board of Trustees  ~  Chairperson - T/B/A
The Board of Trustees has responsibility for the supervision, oversight, and care of all property and equipment owned by the church. They elect officers who serve as legal representatives of the congregation. Our Trustees often schedule work days in the spring and/or fall; for these events and other special projects, they rely on the assistance of everyone in the church family to keep our building in good shape.

Nominations & Leadership Development Committee ~ Sherri Swanson, Chairperson (1999)
The Lay Leadership (Nominations) Committee recruits, prepares and develops effective lay leadership to guide the ministry of the congregation. Committee members seek to identify the gifts, skills, interests and abilities of individuals in the congregation, and match these with opportunities for service. They nominate a slate of officers to be elected by the annual Church Conference for the coming year.

Finance Committee ~ Jim Thompson, Chairperson (2009)
The Finance Committee is charged with the task of preparing an annual budget for adoption by the Church Council. The committee determines what fundraising methods will be used to adequately support the church’s ministry and interprets to the congregation the biblical and theological basis for good stewardship practices.

Education Committee  
The Education Committee provides opportunities for learners of all ages to grow in Christian faith. In our church, this committee coordinates our weekly Sunday School and Children’s Church ministry. It may also oversee programs such as: Bible studies, youth fellowship, and Vacation Bible School.

The Worship Committee coordinates with the pastor and music leaders to ensure that our worship services are uplifting and meaningful for the congregation. Committee members give particular attention to our worship services during the holiday seasons (such as Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter) and at other special times.

Fellowship Committee ~ Rhonda Hinman - Chairperson
The Fellowship Committee plans occasions for our church family to gather together, form relationships with one another, and have fun. Some past events have included: Harvest Dinner, Easter Breakfast, Summer Picnic, Hawaiian Luau, Mexican Fiesta, Game Night, and Bowling.

Missions CommitteeJudy Ross - Chairperson
The Missions Committee calls us to reach out with the love of Christ wherever there is need in our community and around the world. With donations from the congregation, this committee has engaged in several hands-on mission projects, including: school bags for Haiti, health kits for hurricane victims, care packages for military troops, and supplies for our local food pantry.

Hospitality Team
 
The Hospitality Team offers “radical hospitality” to visitors at our worship services. Team members are charged with the task of letting people know our doors are open and providing a generous welcome to all who enter our building. They make sure that each guest is greeted warmly and personally, introduced to others, and invited to coffee hour or other church events. Informational packets and/or gifts also may be provided.

Steering Team 
The Steering Team is a short-term task force of people who are looking at the “big picture” of our congregation’s ministry and charting a course for the future – specifically for the next ten years. Finding ways to reach new people – especially young people – is a high priority. The Steering Team will engage in prayer, study, and discussion over a period of several months. Ultimately, this group will make recommendations to the Church Council regarding possible changes which could make our ministry more vital, relevant, and accessible for those not yet participating in the congregation.
