You Are Welcome!
|
Who We Are We are a church with a rich history, dating back over 130 years! This strong foundation supports us today as we seek to be in ministry in new and exciting ways.
Our congregation is visible and involved in the community. Church members prepare a large, delicious Chicken Dinner each year during the Apple Cider Century Bike Ride. We host ice cream socials, take part in the annual Three Oaks Flag Day Parade, and help with projects such as the Timbertown playground. Many remember us as the church where the Holiday movie "Prancer" was filmed.
Where We Are
Our church is located at the corner of Elm and Sycamore Streets, across from the Three Oaks Post Office, in the midst of the developing art and theater district of beautiful downtown Three Oaks. For more detailed information in how to find us, click on the "DIRECTIONS" tab located to the upper right.
Our facility includes a beautiful sanctuary with historic stained glass windows and plenty of seating in the round.
Your First Visit ~
What to Expect
Church services begin at 10:00 a.m. in June, July & August. During the rest of the year, worship begins at 11:00 a.m.
Upon arrival, you will want to park in our paved parking lot located directly behind the church building. If you arrive a little late, you will still find ample parking on the street, either on Elm or Sycamore.
You may enter the church through the front entrance, although most members find that the side entrance (facing Sycamore) is much more convenient. You will be greeted upon entering by a member of our congregation who will be serving as one of our two greeters scheduled for the month.
Upon entering the Sycamore Street entrance, you will find that the sanctuary is located up the stairs and to your right. The Church narthex is located up the stairs and to your left. Restrooms are located on both levels. Just off the narthex, upstairs, and to your left if you go downstairs. If you have a coat that you would like to hang up, a coat room is located just to the left of the stairs on both levels.
If you require an elevator, a small one is located just inside the Sycamore Street entrance. Just ask one of greeters and they would be happy to assist you.
Upon entering the sanctuary, a greeter will hand you a bulletin. Seating is arranged in the round in the shape of a half circle. You may seat yourself in any pew in any of the four sections.
If you require assistance, you will always find an usher located at either one of the sanctuary entrances ready to help you or answer any questions you may have.
If you have children under the age of five, you will probably want to stop off at our nursery which is located down the steps and to your left.
All children are welcome in the sanctuary. Those five and older will be excused at about 15 minutes after the hour (immediately following the children’s sermon) so that they may attend Sunday School.
Please plan to stay for social time held each week in the narthex, after the morning worship service has concluded, where you will find coffee and a variety of treats.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you in person very soon!
